Membranal Biological
Reactor
Features
- High quality effluent: Removal
of suspended solids above 0.1 micron.
- Low energy consumption: Working
at sub-pressure lower than 0.1 bar up to 0.5 bar, which consumes
low energy.
- High solid concentration: The
process enables working in high bio mass concentration. This
concentration is 4 times higher than the bio mass concentration
in other processes of biological treatment. Working at high
MLSS creates smaller quantities of excess sludge.
- A process without chemical consumption:
This technology exchanges the clarification and flocculant injection
stage in the conventional process.

- Simplification of operation:
Operating the system is simple and reliable in terms of manpower
and maintenance. For flushing and cleaning purposes only, the
process requires low chemical quantities. Once a period, the
membranes should undergo chemical cleaning. The membrane is
resistant to strong oxidants.
- Compactness: In one tank take
place the biological dissolving, solid separation, effluent
polishing and sludge thickening.
- Resistance to flow rate and
load changes: As a result of acclimatization, the bio mass and
its high concentration in the bioreactor, the system is capable
of dealing with load changes.
- Modularity: The process is suitable
for carrying out expansion and upgrading of existing plants.
