Water Recycling Unit for Car-wash Systems

Water Recycling - How To Save Money

The most onerous expense in automatic car wash systems is water! It takes up to 250 liters of water to wash a medium-sized car. The used water, containing dirt, oil and suspended detergents, is usually drained into the municipal sewage system. Large amounts of water are wasted, significantly increasing operating costs.

ODIS has developed the MultiFlow water-recycling unit specifically for automatic car wash systems, reducing water consumption by up to 85% and detergent consumption by up to 40%. The operating unit removes all dirt accumulated during the washing process and supplies clean water according to the manufacturer's quality requirements.
The unit is compatible with all car washing machines.

System Description

The Multi-Flow system brings the most advanced water filtration and recycling technology to bear on the specific application of car wash systems.
  • The heart of the system consists of multi-media filters with layers of quartz sand, crushed basalt and anthracite. The filters are specifically designed to recycle water in car-wash stations and remove a wide range of contaminants, residues and chemicals.
  • Heavy duty pumps are used to pump the water from the drain well. The pumps are specially designed to ensure trouble-free service.
  • Electrically driven ball valves are activated automatically to perform filter backwashing and add fresh water to the system with no interruption to its continuous operation.
  • PLC-operated electrical control panel guarantees reliable continuous operation.

The filtering unit is automatically activated with the operation of the car wash system and turned off when water flow ceases.
